Rawlins, Wyoming

Owner: Wyoming Department of Transportation
Year: 2008
Reede Construction, Inc. Role: Prime Contractor

Highlights: * Owner completion date was set up to open up the entire project to traffic by July 2009 * The project was opened up to traffic by November 2008 * Contractor found an existing wooden water line still in service (estimated from 1920's). The project was 1.03 miles long running through the heart of Rawlins, WY. This project was a complete reconstruction of all underground utilities, pavement surfacing, lighting, and minor landscaping. UPCI proposed an aggressive schedule to the owner prior to the project start up date. This project had an overall completion date of July 31, 2009; UPCI was able to complete all major items by November 20, 2008. When building the schedule, UPCI took into consideration the disruptions this project would cause for the businesses and homeowners on the project. UPCI was able to keep the businesses and landowners satisfied with our efforts by completing the 2 year project in 2008. UPCI provided a safe project for not only those involved on the project, but also for the traveling public. There were no incidents nor any accidents that took place during the duration of the project. UPCI paved 32.5' wide with a Gomaco 2800, which helped enhance the overall schedule of the project. UPCI has the knowledge and experience to build a quality and timely project for the owner. UPCI was able to complete this two year project in one year with the efforts of all involved.
